Accountants Join Erie Office of Malin Bergquist

Jan. 5, 2012 – Three staff accountants have joined the public accounting firm of Malin Bergquist in Erie – Courtney Hagmier, Andrew Milanak Jr. and Derek Tabar.

• Hagmier previously was a general ledger accountant with Family Services of Northwestern Pennsylvania. She is a 2010 graduate of The Behrend College of the Pennsylvania State University, where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in accounting.

• Milanak received his bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance in 2011 from Gannon University. As an undergraduate, he was a staff accounting intern with Erie Management Group. He was captain of the college’s wrestling team and was named All-American and a two-time member of the All-Academic team. He also has coached wrestling at the high school level as an assistant in Johnstown.

• Tabar holds a forensic accounting and fraud investigation certificate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a masters of accountancy degree from West Virginia University.  While in graduate school, he served in an internship with a public accounting firm with offices in West Virginia.
