Goldsmith Elected a Partner of Malin Bergquist

ERIE, PA, Jan. 8, 2010 – CPA Timothy A. Goldsmith, with more than two decades of public accounting and financial reporting experience, has been elected a partner of Malin Bergquist.

Goldsmith oversees audits for clients in Northwest Pennsylvania and Ohio with annual revenues up to $200 million, in industries including distribution, construction, insurance, banking and not-for-profit organizations. He also performs audits of employee benefit plans.

In 2007, while with Malin Bergquist, Goldsmith served as an outsourced controller for a company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Richmond, VA.

Prior to joining Malin Bergquist, Goldsmith was an accounting manager with an Erie public company with more than $500 million in revenue in the retail industry. He administered compliance with SEC and accounting regulations, and managed profit, loss and incentive reporting for 800 leased store properties nationwide. In his earlier tenure in public accounting, he oversaw audits for closely held companies, some of which involved out-of-state subsidiaries in California and Budapest, Hungary.

He received his bachelor of science in business administration degree in accounting in 1985 from the Pennsylvania State University.
