Malin Bergquist, Erie's Largest CPA Firm,

Adds Four Accountants and Promotes One

ERIE, Nov. 14, 2007 – Four new accountants have joined Malin, Bergquist and Company, LLP, Erie’s largest and fastest-growing certified public accounting firm, and one accountant has been promoted. The new accountants are Lindsey Bierer, Melanie Conover, Nicholas Kaliszewski and Jeanette Kistler, and the promotion includes Jeff Froehlich to staff accountant II.

Conover has 16 years experience in all areas of certified public accounting and previously was a controller at Prudential Advantage Realty. Earlier, she worked for a CPA firm in Erie. She holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from Mercyhurst College.

Froehlich joined the firm in 2005 following graduation from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. His recent work experience includes audits of public and private companies, business valuations, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

Kaliszewski, staff accountant I, previously was an accountant with Connecto Electric, Inc. in Erie, where he managed accounts payable and receivable, and was responsible for monthly budgets and financial statements for internal and external review. Earlier, he was an accounting administrator with Telatron Marketing Group, Inc., in Erie. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Kentucky.

Kistler, staff accountant II, formerly was with the Cincinnati office of a large accounting firm, where she worked on engagements for manufacturers, colleges and government bodies, with a primary focus in not-for-profit organizations. Previously, she was assistant to the controller of Advanced Finishing, U.S.A., in Erie. She holds bachelors degrees in accounting and business administration from Mercyhurst College.

Bierer will start in January 2008, following graduation from Cedarville University, where she expects to receive her bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Malin Bergquist made headlines earlier this year when it merged with Erie CPA firm Diefenbach Delio Kearney & DeDionisio. The merger was Malin Bergquist's second major combination this year, and since the start of 2007 the firm has doubled in size.
