Auditors (Pittsburgh and Erie Offices)

Malin Bergquist – one of Western Pennsylvania’s oldest and largest accounting firms – has outstanding opportunities for experienced auditors to serve clients in our fast-paced, rapidly growing Public Company/SEC niche in Pittsburgh, Erie or Greensburg. This work is unusual because Malin Bergquist is one of just a handful in the region to be registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Our team of experts regularly is sought by publicly owned clients for compliance help with the complex laws and regulations established by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the PCAOB and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX).

The ideal candidate should have experience with audits of financial statements and quarterly reviews, and audits of management’s assessment of internal controls over financial reporting. Industry expertise in areas such as energy, manufacturing, construction contractors, technology, insurance, oil/gas, biotechnology and start-up ventures is helpful but not required. The candidate should be well versed in the research and execution of reporting regulations and have a passion for exceptional quality and building strong relationships with clients. All candidates must possess a degree in accounting or finance and a CPA certification.

Tax Accountants (Pittsburgh and Erie Offices)

Malin, Bergquist & Company, LLP is growing rapidly and has immediate, outstanding opportunities for entry-level as well as experienced tax accountants to serve our expanding client base.The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence and have two-to-four years of tax consultancy experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.  A CPA is preferred, and an MST is a plus. The successful candidate will prepare complex tax returns and conduct moderately complex tax research, have exposure to publicly traded companies and international and multi-state taxation, have client contact, and operate in a team environment. You will work in a professionally challenging and people-friendly atmosphere.
